    Let’s Talk Quartz

  • Why should you choose quartz for your countertops? First, let’s talk about the beautiful and attractive appearance they have! I mean come on — so many different colors and patterns to choose from. Glossy or matte? Sparkles or no sparkles? You can even get a quartz with beautiful veining to imitate a granite or marble look. With so many different designs to choose from, it looks amazing in any kitchen.

Created from one of the hardest minerals on earth, quartz countertops are perfect as the most durable option for kitchens. Other natural-stone slabs are mined, but these slabs are engineered in a factory. How long will they last, you ask? Most quartz manufacturers offer a 10 to 15 years and even lifetime warranties for their products! How amazing!

My favorite thing about quartz is that the product is incredibly low maintenance. If you are a busy person like me, that’s one less thing you have to worry about! Unlike natural stone, it never needs to be sealed. All you do is just wipe down with soapy water for daily upkeep! Which brings me to one of the messiest kitchen days in the world — THANKSGIVING!

With Thanksgiving around the corner and everything going on in 2020, I have a feeling a lot of families will be in their own kitchens this year, spending time with close family and making messes. I mean that is what the holiday is all about, right? Making memories and eating delicious food! But let’s fast forward to after eating thanksgiving lunch or dinner — the CLEAN UP! Here comes the handy dandy quartz! Just a little wipe down and you are good to go! You don’t have to worry about anything seeping into your countertop because resin binders render quartz counters nonporous, making surfaces impenetrable from stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. How cool is that?

Quartz is a great product that will make your kitchen beautiful while also making your days a little bit easier with the super simple clean up! Check out some beautiful quartz pictures above and below for some inspiration!
